DAY 01: Arrival Mexico City
Mexico City is huge and hectic, and incredibly rich in both indigenous and colonial history. It is also the oldest capital of the New World, when it was called Tenochtitlan. Transfer airport – hotel.teotihuacan
DAY 02: Half-day Mexico City city-tour and Teotihuacan pyramids
We will explore magnificent Mexico City. Zocalo, Catedral Metropolitana, Palacio Nacional which hosts Diego Rivera’s murals depicting the history of Mexico, the famous boulevard Paseo de la Reforma, the archaeological site of Teotihuacan one of the most impressive cities of the ancient world.
DAY 03: To Oaxaca
Oaxaca, located in a valley surrounded by the Sierra Madre del Sur, was once the center of the Mixtec and Zapotec civilizations.
Visit Puebla en route to Oaxaca
World Heritage Site of Puebla, located 130km southeast of Mexico City.
DAY 04: Half-day Monte Alban archaeological site & Oaxaca city tour
Monte Alban – a World Heritage Site – spectacularly situated on a mountain 400 meters above the Oaxaca Valley, the Gran Plaza, the Ball Court, the Observatory, and the Palace.
DAY 05: To San Cristobal de las CasasChiapas
San Cristobal de las Casas is a characteristically indigenous Chiapaneca town nestled in the heart of the jungle highlands. The only way to reach San Cristobal is via a two-hour drive from Tuxtla Gutierrez.
Half-day Sumidero Canyon, incl. boat ride
We will drive to the town of Chiapa de Corzo, located 70km west of San Cristobal, on the Grijalva river. From here a motorboat will take us through the magnificent Sumidero Canyon, nearly a kilometer deep and 14km long, carved out by the Grijalva River over millions of years.   
DAY 06: Half-day City tour and Indian villages (San Juan Chamula & Zinacantan) We will explore on foot the colonial city center of San Cristobal de las Casas, visiting the cathedral, the impressive 16th-century Dominican church Templo de Santo Domingo, the handicraft market. We then drive 10km into the Chiapas highlands, to the Tzotzil Indian villages of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan. Return to San Cristobal.   
DAY 07: To Palenquepalenque
In the foothills of the Tumbala mountains, the ancient Maya site of Palenque sits on a ledge overlooking the swampy plains that stretch northward all the way to the Gulf coast. Palenque was at its height between 500 and 700 A.D., when its influence extended throughout the basin of the Usumacinta river.
Full-day Agua Azul waterfall and Palenque archaeological site
We will visit Agua Azul, where over 500 cascades thunder into turquoise pools surrounded by jungle.
DAY 08: To Campeche
Campeche, located on the Gulf of Mexico, was the principal sea port on the Yucatán Peninsula from the 16th to the 18th centuries, and subsequently a major target of pirates.
Visit of Palenque archaeological site
We will visit the archaeological site of Palenque, a World Heritage Site, located 7km outside of the town of Palenque. Palenque flourished between AD600 and 800, when its influence extended throughout the basin of the Usumacinta River. The site is surrounded by rainforest where toucans and howler monkeys live.
DAY 09: To MeridaAguaAzulMexico
Built more than 450 years ago on the site of T’ho, an ancient Mayan city, Merida is the social and economic center, as well as the capital, of the state of Yucatan.It makes a good base from which to explore the Mayan archaeological sites of Chichen-Itza and Uxmal. Pink flamingo sanctuaries and swimmable crystal-clear cenotes (sinkholes) are some of the natural attractions of the Yucatan Peninsula that are easily accessible from Merida.
Full-day Uxmal archaeological site
We will visit the archaeological site of Uxmal, a World Heritage Site, located 80km south of Merida. Its architecture is characterized by low horizontal palaces set around courtyards.
DAY 10: To Cancuncancun
Cancun is an exciting beach destination and gateway to the Maya World. Enjoy the magnificent beaches, crystal-clear waters and elegant hotels, as well as the breathtaking nearby Mayan ruins, exotic wildlife, and colonial towns.
Full-day Chichen-Itza archaeological site
We will drive to the archaeological site of Chichen Itza, located 120km east of Merida. Chichen Itza – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World – is the best restored of Yucatan’s Mayan sites.
DAY 11: Departure Cancun Transfer hotel – airport.
