DAY 01: SANTIAGO /CASA LAPOSTOLLE (SANTA CRUZ)
Upon arrival at Santiago International Airport you will be met by your local assistant and transferred to Santa Cruz – Clos Apalta.

Clos Apalta belongs to Casa Lapostolle Winery and established on the Apalta Valley vineyards (Santa Cruz, Colchagua, Chile), Clos Apalta landscape is magnificent and peaceful at the same time. One hundred and eighty hectares (450 acres) of surrounding vineyards, the residence is a paradise for wine lovers and people looking for superior lodging. Friendly hospitality defines the style of service and timeless, natural beauty the sense of place.

Located just near the winery, The Lapostolle Residence is open all year round and offers extraordinary view on the vineyard and the surrounding mountains.

Four “casitas”, nestled into the native forested hillside of the valley, provide serenity and privacy. Terraces offer ideal settings for quiet contemplation or intimate meals.

Each “casita”, named Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Carmenère in devotion to the varieties planted in the Apalta vineyard, has a magnificent view of the valley and provides a private and peaceful environment that is harmonious with the local landscape. There is no better way to slow down & relax than to be in one of these “casitas”, appreciating the spectacular views they provide. A guarantee of a great night of sleep and an even a better morning!
The Residence, where the living and dining room are located, is an excellent and well-furnished place with a wonderful atmosphere.

DAY 02: LAPOSTOLLE

DAY 03: LAPOSTOLLE

Today enjoy at your own slow pace the swimming pool
Lapostolle Residence offer a quiet environment and is designed for a relax enjoyment of the water. The pool is heated to approximately seventy degrees from November to March. These dates depend of the yearly changes in warm-weather temperatures. Next to the pool there is a wide terrace with comfortable chaise longue

Later nothing better than a slow countryside picnic. Enjoy eating under a very old grapevine next to a charming peasant house: barbecue, assorted salad and a variety of fruits of the season plus home made ice-cream. A pleasant picnic in the beauty of the vineyards, tasting Casa Lapostolle best wines, is an ideal lunchtime for any day.

DAY 04: LAPOSTOLLE/SANTIAGO/ATACAMA

Transfer to Santiago Airport to baord flight to Calama.
Arrival at Calama Airport. Private transfer to Hotel Awasi in San Pedro de Atacama.

The Atacama area has a desert-like climate, with big differences of temperature between day and night and summer rains which do not surpass 100 millimeters per year. The area’s chief geographic element is the Atacama Salt Lake, occupying a surface 100 kilometers long by 80 km. wide.
Awasi is located in the historic oasis desert town of San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, providing the utmost in luxury, slow adventure and relaxation. Each room is assigned with a private guide and 4WD vehicle to embark on special outings to the nearby volcanoes, dry salt lakes, ponds, and other natural features that make the Atacama experience unforgettable. Awasi prepares customized excursions depending on guest preferences, with only eight adobe bungalows in the middle of the vast Atacama Desert, all with private outdoor patio, reading area, and both indoor and outdoor showers.

DAY 07: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA/SANTIAGO/TEMUCO

Private Transfer to Calama Airport to Board Flight to Santiago connecting with flight to Temuco.
Arrival at Temuco and transfer to Huilo Huilo Park (190 kmts – 2 hrs)
The Huilo-Huilo Biological Reserve lies at 40º latitude south, in the midst of the Patagonian Andes. Its landscapes of valleys and mountain ranges covered by the Temperate Rainforest form part of a scarce ecosystem that ecological conservation efforts are trying to protect worldwide. The reserve harbors multiple and varied forms of wildlife. The crystal-clear waters of its rivers and lakes make Huilo-Huilo the ideal place for those seeking personal and respectful contact with nature.
On the southern boundary of the reserve, the Mocho-Choshuenco Volcano, part of the Andean Mountain range that lies within Huilo-Huilo, imposes its unique silhouette.

Here one can discover magnificent glaciers and three small, beautiful volcanoes that are natural energy sources, and most impressive of all, take a sled trip to the mountain tops and enjoy a spectacular day of adventure in the snow, even in mid-summer, with a view over extraordinarily beautiful volcanoes and lakes.

Overnight at Bao Bab Boutique Hotel. This beautiful Lodge is nestled inside the National Reserve of Huilo Huilo the Hotel takes its inspiration from the immense Bao Bao tree, native to Africa, which grows within its walls in the center of the building. This seven storey rustic boutique hotel has fifty five rooms with magnificent views of the Mocho-Choschuenco Volcano. All the styling and decor is inspired by the natural surroundings and crafted by indigenous artists designing in wood from the area. Windows, walls, doors and stairs are all carved out of the local rustic woods. All rooms have private bathrooms and central heating as standard and penthouse suites offer the added luxury of hydro massage bath.
